It appears a simple rename of the 1.5.2 ebuild will cut it, but I am not competent enough to judge if there is more to it. Just because it installs doesn't necessarily mean all is ok... is this the case or what else is the reason this takes so long? If some issue is known it would be nice if it could be said. Looking at the svn changelog doesn't reveil anything to my eyes that give reason to hold back an unstable release, or? My flags: USE="apache2 berkdb dso extras java perl python ruby webdav-neon -bash-completion -debug -doc -emacs -nls -sasl -vim-syntax -webdav-serf" built against ~x86 apr/db/neon/etc. When looking at http://svn.collab.net/repos/svn/trunk/CHANGES, it seams that 1.5.3 fixes some issues which really can be annoying, e. g. * fixed: 'svn mv' hangs and consumes infinite memory (r33201, -12) Also, that CHANGES file suggests that 1.5.4 will be released within the next few days. So please do that version bump. As others already have pointed out, it should be simple and easy. 1.5.4 was released today, fixing a merge regression in 1.5.3. Simply bumping the ebuild again worked fine here. 1.5.4 in cvs, thanks |
