Please add the output of "locale" (In reply to comment #1) > Please add the output of "locale" > legolas dustin # locale LANG= LC_CTYPE="POSIX" LC_NUMERIC="POSIX" LC_TIME="POSIX" LC_COLLATE="POSIX" LC_MONETARY="POSIX" LC_MESSAGES="POSIX" LC_PAPER="POSIX" LC_NAME="POSIX" LC_ADDRESS="POSIX" LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX" LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX" LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX" LC_ALL= Tests will fail if locale is unset. I've added an ewarn to the ebuilds in tree. I get the same failure. Below is what 'locale' tells me - I thought it was set ok. Manually creating files with c-cedilla in the name seems fine, however while the test is run, it seems to be converted to UTF-8 (I guess - instead of the c-cedilla it shows up as a character pair; A-tilde and the paragraph symbol). # locale LANG=en_GB LC_CTYPE="en_GB" LC_NUMERIC="en_GB" LC_TIME="en_GB" LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY="en_GB" LC_MESSAGES="en_GB" LC_PAPER="en_GB" LC_NAME="en_GB" LC_ADDRESS="en_GB" LC_TELEPHONE="en_GB" LC_MEASUREMENT="en_GB" LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_GB" LC_ALL= If this is wrong, can you tell me how I should set it correctly? ping (In reply to comment #5) > ping > Do tests fail if you set a UTF-8 locale? It's probably there the problem is. Perhaps Renaming the file to something ASCII will fix it. (In reply to comment #7) > Do tests fail if you set a UTF-8 locale? It's probably there the problem is. > Perhaps Renaming the file to something ASCII will fix it. > I set my locales to the following which fixed this: LANG=C LC_CTYPE=de_DE.utf8 LC_NUMERIC=C LC_TIME="C" LC_COLLATE=C LC_MONETARY=de_DE.utf8 LC_MESSAGES="C" LC_PAPER="C" LC_NAME="C" LC_ADDRESS="C" LC_TELEPHONE="C" LC_MEASUREMENT="C" LC_IDENTIFICATION="C" LC_ALL= (In reply to comment #7) > Do tests fail if you set a UTF-8 locale? It's probably there the problem is. Just tried; yes it does. I just set LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 (don't know why I didn't think of that - must be getting old!), sailed through. > Perhaps Renaming the file to something ASCII will fix it. I guess it would; depends whether the test is intended to test UTF-8 behaviour. One to ask upstream, I guess. Thanks! We only have app-text/poppler now, please try version 0.12.3-r3 or above. Please reopen if it's still a issue. |
