updating sys-devel/libtool from 1.5.26 to 2.2.6a fixed the issue. Hum... you're building the overlay on a +/- less stable box...? I think your libtool was just broken (rebuilding the existing one should have probably been enough) but your setup is outside the scope of what we usually do. @team, I say we close invalid. Thanks (In reply to comment #3) > Hum... you're building the overlay on a +/- less stable box...? Yes. > I think your libtool was just broken (rebuilding the existing one should have > probably been enough) I downgraded libtool after the successful build to verify that this was the problem and it failed again with the old version. I wouldn't be very confident of libtool2 going stable by the time GNOME-2.24 is It's probably the eautoreconf calls that breaks libtool... what a pain... Actually, this package was generated with libtool 2.2.4, Ubuntu is also starting to use it! Yay! Now for the fun part (that I didn't try to solve myself before) is that running "autoreconf" with libtool 1.5 on top of a package that was generated with libtool 2.2 will fail unless some files (but I don't know which) are removed. @base-system, basically, eautoreconf needs some additional logic to cope for this... Thanks Fixed in overlay without a revbump. Note: patch should go upstream as well. Thanks closing per comment #8, please reopen if you still have problems with this package. |
