dev-lang/R-2.7.1. rkward-0.4.9a is compatible with it, has been +30 days
without open bugs and is stable upstream. Please stabilize.

Yes! One possibility to test the installed gui is to load some simple script
such as the one in 
http://rkward.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?title=RKWard_scripts
