fix ip_mreq visibility
This patch worked for me. AFAIK "struct ip_mreq" is obsolete and shouldn't be used in new code.
Dumb question time: How do you apply the patch? Does this screw up portage's internal pointers about what you've installed? Created attachment 164030 [details]
updated ebuild
Installation instructions for new users:
1. make sure that ypu have /usr/local/portage in PORTDIR_OVERLAY
2. $ mkdir -p /usr/local/portage/sys-fs/mtd-utils
3. put attached mtd-utils-20080102.ebuild to that directory
4. $ mkdir -p /usr/local/portage/sys-fs/mtd-utils/files
5. put patch file to newly created directory
6. $ cd /usr/local/portage/sys-fs/mtd-utils
7. $ ebuild mtd-utils-20080102.ebuild digest
8. $ emerge mtd-utils
9. that's all
Thanks Nickolay, It does compile after applying the patch. That being said, do I close the bug? I'm a newb, but I figure it should stay open until your patch makes it into portage? Gentoo team will close bug. Probably in this century. refrain from snarky comments added a newer snap to the tree |
