Patch for French help installation error
*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 223721 *** hum on second thinking, reopening. and assigning, thanks for providing ebuild and patch. Note the unified diff against portage ebuild makes it easier for us to review. Created attachment 159452 [details]
Fixed patch name
Changed the name of the patch before submission and forgot to update the new ebuild. Apologies.
The meld-1.2_gentoo.patch file is actually a patch to fix an installation error with meld. For future reference, is a patch against an existing ebuild the preferred format (assuming, of course, that it's not a new ebuild)? (In reply to comment #7) > For future reference, is a patch against an existing ebuild the preferred > format (assuming, of course, that it's not a new ebuild)? I personally don't really care, as for a simple epatch addition I'm going to add it to the copied revbumped ebuild file manually in my editor anyways, as I add my own comment on top that describes shortly what it fixes and what gentoo bug it's for and I often end up with a different patch file name too anyway. But if all that is right from the submitter, I guess I would actually prefer a full ebuild that I colordiff against the previous revision or version on my own. So highly depends I guess. Anyhow, meld-1.2 is now in portage, on the way to your local sync mirror soon enough. Went with a patch from upstream bug (made by some Mandrive guy) for french figures/ stuff, as it removed the mkdir for figures/ as well. files/meld-1.2-fr-help-install-fix.patch has information on the bug numbers added to the top (which is another thing I like to be done).
