Ok, it seems I have solved this bug. This is indeed related to _GNU_SOURCE. Attaching new ebuild and patch file. Bind built from it works with IPv6 perfectly. Created attachment 157017 [details]

A patch to bind-tools
A patch to bind-tools that fixes problem with IPv6
Is this going to make it into the tree? Please? The patch for the recent dns security issue bumped the ebuild... but this patch didn't make it, so ipv6 dns support got re-broken on all my machines with ~glibc. bump... the patch isn't in the ebuild as of bind-9.5.0_p1-r1 (In reply to comment #7) > bump... the patch isn't in the ebuild as of bind-9.5.0_p1-r1 > would you please stop that? i know what patches are in and what is still on my todo list. thanks ... Fixed in bind-tools-9.5.0_p1-r2 and bind-9.5.0_p1-r2. |
