video team, the list in bug 218101 doesn't include xinelib, so I'm assigning,
instead waiting for the expected and marking as duplicate.
oh.. yeah. Had all ffmpegs unmasked. Its an old entry. I will remove it and
install an not-masked version. Sorry for the noise

Now I am using ffmpeg 0.4.9_p20080326 and xine-lib-1.1.4 installed fine.

Weird. Because I get the exact same bug with ffmpeg-0.4.9_p20080326.
Did you change anything else?
Nevermind. I had installed an SVN version of ffmpeg directly from upstream
source into /usr/local/bin. That seems to be what's breaking xine-lib now.
1.1.14 works fine with newer ffmpeg, so let's close this.
