Full Text Bug Listing

www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0_betaX is always in english. I have LINGUAS="de"
set, I assume other languages do not work either. The LINGUAS variable works
fine for firefox-bin-3.0 or firefox-2.x.x.xx

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set LINGUAS
2. emerge mozilla-firefox-3
3. start firefox with appropriate LC_ALL set

Actual Results:  
No change in UI language


To get your language you can install a language pack from mozilla.com

emerge --info and emerge -pv mozilla-firefox, please.

Works fine here, though

To rule out the obvious, could you please check

  /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/defaults/preferences/firefox.js
and
  /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/defaults/preferences/firefox-l10n.js

to see what the general.useragent.locale setting is in those files? If it got
set there, and you're not seeing it, that could mean the default language is
overridden in your profile.

No, i can reproduce it. It only happens when built with -xulrunner. I'm looking
into it, the problem lies that  
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/defaults/preferences/firefox.js
doesn't exist, but   /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/defaults/pref/firefox.js does,
thing is, why with xulrunner is different? Having a look at it...

Thanks for that, I'll try it as soon as I'm syncing my tree for it's just a
cosmetic problem - having a german desktop with an english browser.

In 3.0.1 I'm seeing this, en-US is hardcoded in both the files mentioned in
Comment #3.  I had to manually change it in about:config to get zh-CN
