i'm following the handbook, i've just installed yaboot and when runnin
yabootconfig, i'm being told that mac-fdisk is missing. I've installed it and
it now works. Shouldn't this be a dependancy then ?
greatings.
Reproducible: Always
how about your emerge --info and cat /proc/cpuinfo
the computer has no graphical stuff yet, nor is it connected to the net. It's a
ibook g3@600MHz, currently being installed following the handbook. Which kind
of information from cpuinfo or emerge --info could be of any use for this
ticket ?
besides what kind of hw it is, I was simply fishing for your profile. Can you
cite that here?
the profile is ppc32/2008.0. i've used the latest release candidate iso (as of
may 5th) to install it.
if !ibm, this should probably dep mac-fdisk. /usr/sbin/yabootconfig needs
either mac-fdisk or pdisk. Anyone in ppc32 world want to fix this and get it
added to the release snapshot?
I've added the dependency to yaboot and yaboot-static. Brent, would it be okay
to mark yaboot-static-1.3.14 stable on ppc64? I'd like to get rid of the old
versions. Who should we poke to get this added to the release snapshot?
Jose - Yes and Yes. But you had best hurry as the snapshot may be today or
tomorrow.
wolf31o2: please update the snapshot to include yaboot-static-1.3.14 if it's
not too late already.
2008.0 is out, so this is finished.
