Tried emerging this with
CFLAGS= "-fPIE"
LDFLAGS="-pic"
in /etc/make.conf (to get ET_DYN executables) and it fails the linking because
not every object is -fPIE. During the build it honors my CFLAGS for all files
exept one, mkbuiltins.c
After an ebuild unpack, Makefile.in:1395 reads:
builtins/mkbuiltins.c: ${topdir}/bashintl.h ${LIBINTL_H}
$(BASHINCDIR)/gettext.h
while all lines near that use .o file names instead of .c
Could this be a bug causing it to ignore my CFLAGS?
All of this tested on HPPA, not checked on other archs.
