Bug#: 218942 Product:  Gentoo Linux Version: unspecified Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux Status: RESOLVED Severity: enhancement Priority: P2
Resolution: FIXED Assigned To: base-system@gentoo.org Reported By: malahal@gmail.com
Component: Core system

Summary: stabilize sys-fs/xfsprogs-2.9.7
Keywords:  STABLEREQ
Status Whiteboard:
Opened: 2008-04-22 20:08 0000
Description:   Opened: 2008-04-22 20:08 0000
mkfs.xfs with default options on an 100GB partition, resulted in 70GB total
file system size. Looks like there is a bug in the 2.9.5 version of xfsprogs
with default options. I unmasked 2.9.7 and it has fixed it (I get 94GB total fs
size).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create 100GB patition
2. Run mkfs.xfs /dev/<partition>
3.

Actual Results:
Drastically reduced FS size!!!

Expected Results:
Reasonable total FS size

Talked to #xfs IRC channel in which they indicated a bug in 2.9.5 version,
would love to see this ebuild go away.
