Please add amd64 to supported archs. I will provide a working ebuild for
paml-4b as well.
Thanks much for the note and I just added paml-4b to
portage cvs (with ~amd64).

Yes, paml is ~amd64 which is what portage is telling you. However,
since you apparently have ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" you will need
to add it to package.keywords to be able to emerge it (there is no
stable version for paml at this point).
