I am seeing that warning ever since I emerged sci-libs/hdf5.
# ls -l /usr/lib/libh5test.so*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 21964 2008-04-09 03:34 /usr/lib/libh5test.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 21968 2008-04-09 03:34 /usr/lib/libh5test.so.0
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 21972 2008-04-09 03:34 /usr/lib/libh5test.so.0.0.0
