the stable version of ipython, ipython-0.6.15, is not compatible with
python-2.5. When envoking ipython under python-2.5 environment, the following
exception is raised:
$ ipython
/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/IPython/genutils.py:1404: Warning: 'with' will
become a reserved keyword in Python 2.6
Traceback (most recent call last):

__builtin__.exit += _exit
TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +=: 'Quitter' and 'str'
It is because python 2.5 changed the built-in exit variable. It is now a
Quitter instance instead of a string. More recent versions of ipython have
fixed this problem.
We should add a "!>=dev-lang/python-2.5" line to ipython-0.6.15.ebuild's
DEPEND, or just remove ipython-0.6.15.ebuild sine it is outdated.
We'll stabilize a newer one when python-2.5 is stable, meanwhile NOTABUG.
Python 2.5 is going stable, reopening.
Python herd, please give your OK for this stabling and CC arches.
Arches, please test and mark stable:

I had some trouble finding this bug because you mistyped its number in the
ChangeLog. I've corrected it now.
The provided tests (in the tests directory) fail, but the interactive shell
seems to work fine. Marked ppc stable.
