While doing a fresh install of phpmyadmin-2.11.5 for bug #212000 I figured out
that the install instructions are not accurate any more.

Point 1. C) uses an old configuration style. instead of copying
libraries/config.default.php to config/config.inc.php it seems that you now
have to just copy config.sample.inc.php to config.inc.php (in the root of
phpmyadmin).

Could someone from web-apps please proof this and make the small change if I'm
right?

all three steps had errors .. i've fixed this and some formatting-foo in
2.11.5-r1
