Because you don't have net-libs/libpcap; yet another automagic crap in this dead thing. Hm ... according to eix i _have_ installed libpcap [I] net-libs/libpcap Available versions: 0.9.5 0.9.6 0.9.7 0.9.8 {ipv6} Installed versions: 0.9.8(12:18:29 12.01.2008)(-ipv6) Homepage: http://www.tcpdump.org/ Description: A system-independent library for user-level network packet capture ... ? I re-emerged ulogd, now it works for me. Well it's still a bug since this obviously needs to be either a hard dependency or a configure option. Alright, added the pcap flag to automatically build the PCAP plugin. Not the best fix but it is acceptable, I think. |
