hotplug doesn't do anything useful w/ any udev version in the tree; installing
scripts to /etc/hotplug needs to be replaced with proper udev rules.

Working on it...   While updating to the latest version, I made a udev rule
file to invoke the gpsd python script, which seems like the right approach.  If
you have something else in mind, please explain what you mean...
