I'm trying to install KDE-4.0.1 so I can report bugs and contribute to the
community, but when doing "emerge -avD kde-base/kde:kde-4", portage tells me
that the dependency graph is broken, or something like that (now I'm not in my
computer). I have observed that for example, there is no kdegames-4.0.1 in
portage. And the situation has been the same for 3 - 4 days (when kde-4.0.1
packages were put in portage). When will be kde-4.0.1 completed in portage?
Thanks.
Reproducible: Always
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/kde-split-ebuilds.xml
Please read that and switch to split ebuilds for KDE 4.0.1.
There are currently no monolithic ebuilds for it and it is unsure if there will
be.
(Note, that there is no "kde-4.0.1.ebuild".)
If it is just about the upgrade message, please mask any -4.0.1 ebuild, that
gets pulled in (maybe kdepimlibs etc.), by adding it to your local mask file
(/etc/portage/package.mask).
