Weird. Hmm, I have a SIS630 box at work, and it (DRI included) works just fine. I had tar'd up my / from my functional system on my box, and shipped it over to my brother's box, where it didn't work right. I finally got fed up and decided to try installing gentoo the "right way." This worked. I wouldn't have even bothered posting this bug in the first place except one kernel I had (from the 1.1a cd) DID boot correctly. I still don't know what the problem was, exactly, but I'm not sure it matters at this point. My brother's fresh gentoo install is up and running. |
