The package media-gfx/fbida install ida (an X11 picture viewer) and add an item
in the Graphics menu in KDE, but lacks the nice little icon

It installs an item in Multimedia menu too. Is it a duplicate item? However,
the icon lacks here too.

Fixed in CVS, thanks for reporting the problem.
