we dont spend any time on the loop-aes code ... it is provided as a convenience
only

If you look at the patch output, it seems to be just a wrong strip option in
the ebuild -- should be easy to fix.
I don't think so, patch -p1 succeeds for all but 2 hunks in mount/Makefile.in
and mount/lomount.c
