All the FAKE_ROOT Makefile hacking is not needed anymore, make DESTDIR=${D} install
works now.

The build in portage works fine with no or minor changing (except removing
patches, etc) when I last built it a month or two back. Yes, the FAKE_ROOT
is not needed with 3.3, etc, but currently this is lower than the basement on
my todo list. We have 1.4, etc, etc, and adding 3.3 will just create more
issues than we want currently.

New ebuild, digest and patch that works for the release tar ball.

CVS users will need to use the old ebuild and patches still.

In portage.
