app-emulation/emul-linux-x86-baselibs has nss_ldap and openldap libraries. For
nss_ldap to really be useful, it should have pam_ldap.. What's the point of
being able to look up your user account info if you can't authenticate was
basically my rational.

20071130 added to the tree.  Cardoe was given testing instructions on irc.

release:  up to you if you want to update the snapshot.  this version will go
stable after I hear back from cardoe.  the only change was the addition of
pam_ldap.

Fixed the issue. Version is marked stable in the tree.
