Description Sven 2007-11-20 20:21:26 UTC
The portage's stable version of the net-misc/tor ebuild is little behind the releases for a while now.

Additional to this, a ebuild for the 0.2* development branch would be very nice.

It would be so great if someone more skilled than me could deliver these updates. Thanx.

Reproducible: Sometimes

As portage's stable version of tor is still 0.2.17 I tried out a very simple workaround:

1. Copy /usr/portage/net-misc/tor/tor-0.1.2.17.ebuild to /usr/portage/net-misc/tor/tor-0.1.2.18.ebuild
2. run "ebuild /usr/portage/net-misc/tor/tor-0.1.2.18.ebuild digest" as root

After that I could emerge net/misc-tor-0.2.18 (compiles, installs and seems to work without any problems on AMD64, 2.6.24-rc6 kernel).

Would be nice if there would be an portage ebuild, too.

This usually works for those minor releases. I bumped tor in Portage. Thanks for the patience and sorry for the delay, though I am not the maintainer officially.
