With SNI, I got lot's of error 500 with apache mod_ssl (in combination with fastcgi). Long story, it's an upstream issue by apache: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=43738 And the patch from apache svn is here: http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/httpd/httpd/trunk/modules/ssl/ssl_engine_io.c?r1=546632&r2=591393&pathrev=591393 I'd suggest that for the apache-patchsets that contain the sni-patch, also add this one.
fixed in 2.2.6-r3 (i.e. no new revision, still masked)
