With SNI, I got lot's of error 500 with apache mod_ssl (in combination with
fastcgi).

Long story, it's an upstream issue by apache:

I'd suggest that for the apache-patchsets that contain the sni-patch, also add
this one.

fixed in 2.2.6-r3 (i.e. no new revision, still masked)
