Ebuild for stix fonts, assuming tar.bz2 file
Ebuild for stix fonts, assuming re-packaging - should be re-worked to use the zip file directly
Created attachment 134980 [details] Text paste of the Stix license at http://www.stixfonts.org/user_license.html This may not be 100% correct (I know the TM characters don't show properly in nedit) but perhaps someone can point to an "official" txt version of the stix font license? Or should the html be included rather than txt? Created attachment 134982 [details] tar-bzip file, instead of the .zip file used on the stixfonts website. Once this file is installed with this ebuild and X is restarted, http://www.stixfonts.org/allGlyphs.html displays the characters. Created attachment 134984 [details]
Use the text in the download agreement rather than the html from the web.
Fedora is currently trying to get upstream to fix a number of things with their packaging, including getting the licence changed to something free or at least compatible with the OFL and providing a download url that doesn't require click-through. I'd like to see how they respond before going any further. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=361441 looks to me like Fedora had stix fonts in their repository 2007-11-02. Does that mean the issues mentioned in comment 5 are resolved and this can proceed? they updated their license to something more free, so i have no problem adding it. the beta period ended Dec 15th so there should be a final release soon. license is being changed to OFL. ETA for release is July 08. Added, thanks. |
