Nope; please do *not* carry on the broken dependencies (bug 169864) into yet another version.

new ebuild

i spent some time to fix the dependecies a i hope the attached ebuild is going to
portage soon if there are no other comments to the attached ebuild.

Dear developers,

you sure have little time on your hands, and although I tried the Ebuild by Pavel Sanda (worked seamlessly on amd64) and was totally blasted away by the cool, new features in LyX 1.5.2, I'd say take yourself the time you need and don't rush bringing it to Portage.

Thanks for the quality distribution you have made and still make,
Michael Färber

Lyx-1.5.3.ebuild

This Lyx-1.5.3 ebuild worked for me.
Comment 8 Soren Harward 2008-01-16 00:10:12 UTC
Why does the 1.5.3 ebuild depend on sys-libs/gpm? No previous version of LyX has required it, I built it just fine without having GPM installed (after removing that line from the ebuild), and I haven't noticed any runtime errors. Suggest removing the dependency.
Comment 9 pavel sanda 2008-01-16 00:28:30 UTC
yes you are right it should be removed.
i added it needlesly seeing it on the output of ldd - now i see it was pulled by by aspell with gpm use flag.
