CVS's keyword substitution mangled the patch file which needs to include a RCS Id. I've now turned off keyword substitution and fixed the patch file. Thanks for the report. *** Bug 191351 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 191362 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Why did 2.7.4 go straight to stable? I could quote the devmanual at you or point out that tools such as earch and eshowkw exist. That might also stop this bug from seeing more duplicates. > [1] http://dev.gentoo.org/~eldad/#earch > [2] http://dev.gentoo.org/~dang/eshowkw eshowkw being the better suited of the two, in my opinion. Jeroen, thanks for reverting, it was not my intention to commit it to stable directly. I guess I ran into some additional issues to solve with the bump and forgot to reset the keywords. Bah! Now I get to wear the donkey hat until someone else fouls up the tree. It would be really helpful if repoman checked for this. Thanks for the pointer to eshowkw. I knew about and use earch, but always hated that it did not show things in a table. I'll leave the bug open for a couple of days just in case more duplicates pop up. (In reply to comment #7) > It would be really helpful if repoman checked for this. Actually, it's sometimes very useful to not drop to ~arch. Also, the keywords of any new ebuild should be on your mind while adding it to the tree anyway, because what ultimately counts is what the impact on users will be. > Thanks for the pointer to eshowkw. Maybe eshowkw should be added to sys-apps/portage. Closing it now that the fixes in CVS have propagated and no duplicate bugs should appear anymore. |
