% grep SRC_URI lftp-3.5.13.ebuild 
SRC_URI="http://ftp.yars.free.net/pub/source/lftp/${P}.tar.bz2"

But only the latest tarball is in that dir (3.5.14 is released), the others are
in old/. To make matters a bit worse, the latest isn't in old so I guess you'll
have to do something creative :).

Why don't you just set yourself GENTOO_MIRRORS like everyone else?

I have but the file wasn't available at my mirror. And how do mirrors get files
if the SRC_URIs point to 404?

Because it isn't on any mirrors :( I changed the SRC_URI for the older
versions, and bumped it to the latest available.
