After merging, the ebuild states that

 * You can find a sample configuration file in
 * /usr/share/doc/conky-1.4.6/conkyrc.sample.gz

However, the sample config file is installed to

>>> /usr/share/doc/conky-1.4.6/conkyrc.sample.bz2
