Please test, rewiew and stabilize the current version of
app-misc/lcd4linux (0.10.1_rc2-r1). The name might be scary (rc2),
but upstream development is rather slow on releases (rc1 was february).
At any rate, the current stable is rather outdated (2004).
Along with that we'd need dev-libs/serdisplib and dev-libs/luise-bin
(amd64 and x86 only) stable, too.
If you do not own a device for testing: I tested lcds on all three
arches, so they should work (also for the luise). You can test
lcd4linux with the X11 LCD_DEVICE, too.
