I have added an ebuild for mail-notification 4.1 to my personal overlay: graaff
@ layman. Feel free to test it and provide feedback. 

@net-mail: are you still maintaining mail-notification? It looks like slarti
did all the work but he is no longer in the herd. I might be persuaded to
maintain it with some backup from the gnome herd.

Ebuild for mail-notification 4.1

Oliver, you would have to add my personal overlay using layman to find it. I
have attached it to the bug now as well.
