Kima doens't compile if you don't have hal. (checking for libhal... configure: error: Package requirements (hal >= 0.5.5) were not met: No package 'hal' found) Please, add hal USE flag for kima if possible. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
A USE flag wouldn't have been correct because kima-0.7.3.2 really depends on HAL at compile time. Thus, I've added a corresponding DEPEND to the ebuild. Thanks for letting us know about this!
