The game quake4 don't have a console with a azerty keyboard.
The problem was solved by idsoftware in quake4 version 1.4.0

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.lauch the game with a azerty keyborad
2.Trie to get console with the magic key sequence <CTRL+ALT+²>
3.I do'nt get the game console.

Actual Results:  
You don't get the game console. Bye bye the god mode to see the end of this
games if you are not a good gamer;).

Expected Results:  
You get the game console with all idsoftware commands games

Use the ebuild in bug #173491.

Try the 1.4.2 ebuild in the tree.  It should fix this, as Paul said.
