Can you point me to a download location? (In reply to comment #1) > Can you point me to a download location? > Sure. From http://forum.compiz.org/viewtopic.php?t=726 Download URL: http://www.anykeysoftware.co.uk/compiz/plugins/extra-plugins-0.5.0.2.tar.gz Any word on this ebuild? compiz-0.3.x was removed from portage so there is no longer any way to emerge both compiz and compiz-extra without overlay or manually from source. compiz-extra is replaced by the various parts of compiz-fusion. -extra will automatically update to compiz-fusion-plugins-main. And are we any closer than we were four months ago vis-a-vis seeing any of compiz-fusion in the tree? Maybe it's just me, but it seems a bit pointless releasing newer versions of compiz into tree if they remain unusable without -extra. (Note: or is it that more of the plugins from -extra have now been merged into the main compiz distribution? I'm outta touch...) Haven't you read my message? I submitted the various parts of compiz fusion to the portage-tree yesterday. As from what I know, the cf-plugin-packages contain everything that was once part of -extra and -extra is unmaintained. Sorry, Hanno. My last sync was overnight and I saw nothing new there -- should have re-checked I guess :( Thanks for your work, looking forward to trying it out! |
