usb printers are a very common device, so I think genkernel should enable support for them in it's default configuration for x86. Please add CONFIG_USB_PRINTER=m to /usr/share/genkernel/x86/kernel-config-2.6 Reproducible: Always taylor src # genkernel --version 3.4.8 I'm using an x86 gentoo linux with the linux-2.6.19-gentoo-r5 kernel sources.
I've added this to SVN and it'll show up in the next version of genkernel.
Please test genkernel 3.4.9_prer1 or better. This should be fixed now.
