It is completely out of line to download anything during build phases, bypassing digest checks. I cannot believe you apparently thought this is fine and did this purposefully. Way to go in such a case is to modify the build script, so this can't even happen by accident. If we had a completely signed tree, I'd even treat that as a security breach.
