env-update has an option "--no-ldconfig" that doesn't exist for env.eselect.
It should be easy to implement this.

Proposed patch for env.eselect

No reaction since 10 weeks, in spite of the proposed patch. :(

So I think we are going to ship our own env-emacs.eselect module with
app-admin/eselect-emacs that provides us with the needed functionality.
