gsl-1.8 fails on eigen's test.

As said in gsl's mailing list [1], this error does not harm the correct
behaviour of the library, however having working test suites is cool, right?

There's a tiny patch to solve it.

Thanks a lot for the note! It looks like this has been fixed in 1.9 already.
Hence, since it is a fairly minor issue I'd personally rather just wait until
1.9 hits stable in one or two weeks down the road and leave 1.8 alone.
I will definitely have a look at your cleanup suggestions and apply them to
1.9 if applicable.

Thanks,
Markus

Maybe the time has now come?

Yeah, time flies ;) Somehow this one dropped from my
radar screen. Let me give 1.9 a spin again and if things
look fine I'll file the stabilization bug tonight.

Thanks for everybody's patience!

Best,
Markus

Now gsl-1.9 is stable in all arches that 1.8 is (and even more) so I guess this
bug is fixed ;-)

Absolutely! Thanks for pointing this out.
