 Are you sure it works?  When trying to compile the shipped phobos source code by the Makefile (linux.mak), the linker states: 

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.1.1/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: warning: i386 architecture of input file `libphobos.a(infback.o)' is incompatible with i386:x86-64 output

For all object files.

Sorry about that, I just checked with upstream and it seems 64bit support is buggy. Will reopen when this is fixed. Thanks.
