Description LAZX 2007-03-06 20:52:40 UTC
raid5 (5 x 250gb disks), one of the disks died, XFS corruption ensued.

linux-2.6.18-gentoo-r6
xfsprogs-2.8.11
mdadm-2.6.1

The array had ~600gb of data. After replacing the disk and running xfs_repair, there is 400gb, with a large portion (~150gb) in lost+found. Of the remaining data (not in lost+found), files are missing in pretty much every directory.

Any options for repairing this file system?

Any other information needed?

Reproducible: Didn't try

sorry, but this is pretty much way beyond our support capabilities

you should try upgrading to xfsprogs-2.8.18 and if that doesnt help, drop an e-mail to the upstream mailing list:

Already posted on xfs bugzilla. They told me its linux raid's fault. I'll post on the kernel bugzilla, I bet they'll tell me its an xfs problem haha.
