md5deep-0.16-r1 portage tree
0.16-r1 Added patch to fix type error that prevented proper operation on Gentoo
PPC
is the patch only needed for ppc? or is it needed for all arch? Patch is expressly needed on PPC, at least with gcc 3.2.1 but is also correct for all other architectures as a variable that is holding a return value was declared as char instead of int when the return type is int. Author of md5deep has said he will incorporate fix into next release as well. Thanks Matt. The ebuild was excellent. I've put it in app-crypt rather than sys-app. For any future ebuilds you submit, it would be preferable to submit them as text files rather than a tarball. Created attachment 9643 [details, diff]
Patch for 0.16 - Not Included in portage tree
Patch file was not included in portage tree it appears (after doing an emerge
rsync) Can you place this diff file into the files directory of
app-crypt/md5deep?
Thanks,
Matt
