I would love to... but I dont think many if any other programs use qstat as a dependancy. Thus it makes it a almost useless use flag. The qstat binary isnt large and for me its a dependancy that I have to have for my nagios servers. Adding qstat as a USE in nagios would be trivial. I am not aware of any rules as to how many times a USE variable must be used before it can be added. True this is probably the only program that would use it but it is worse to assume that everyone wants it. I have to un-install it after every update to nagios simply because you use it on your system. I do not use it and keep my systems free of programs I don't use. (what is not there cannot be hacked.) Please reconsider adding it. =C= This is still a problem. Adding the keyword qstat makes changes in 2 places in the ebuild and resolves this issue for those of us who do not monitor games on our network. Qstat is not a dependency for nagios. It is an option. It should be treated as such. Please re-consider adding the qstat keyword to this ebuild. =C= fixed in nagios-plugins-1.3.0-r1, which is going into portage in about an hour |
