Okay, the problem seems to be that you don't have gnome-doc-utils installed,
and the building system for dasher doesn't really check for that.

I've applied a patch which should resolve this problem. Please re-sync your
tree in a couple of hours and try again.

The latest version in portage still appears to be 4.2.2.

Would you like me to manually emerge gnome-doc-utils and see if that fixes it?

The patch was added to dasher-4.2.2 without bumping the revision number since
it only fixes a problem that affected users who couldn't emerge dasher in the
first place.

Please re-try installing that version. It's not necessary that you emerge
gnome-doc-utils.

OK yes, this appears to have worked.

Just to check: if I select "Contents" from the "Help" menu in dasher,
nothing obvious happens. Is that the behaviour you were hoping for?
