Bibletime 1.6.3 was released yesterday! :) Please add to portage.
As for the ebuild, the following actions appear to be sufficent:
1) cp bibletime-1.6.ebuild bibletime-1.6.3.ebuild
2) Change DEPEND to require CLucene >= 0.9.16

PS: Bibletime-1.6.3 emerged just fine on amd64, although while the package was
configuring, the following appeared in the output (maybe a bug of some sort?):
