Description:   Opened: 2007-01-07 20:19 0000
audacious-1.3.0_alpha1-r1 will not build. This is alpha software and should
not be placed in the ~x86 tree as it will be to unstable for testing for
inclusion to the x86 tree. ~x86 software should claimed to be a stable
product by the upstream maintainers that is being checked for stability in
Gentoo. At times even beta software might be ok for inclusion in the ~86 tree,
but alpha software should be M~86.

Reproducible: Always

Information about the build failure is missing. We appear to disagree about the
~x86 keyword. I have no intention of ever stabling these alpha packages. If
anything, these packages will be fully removed if this disagreement is shared
by Gentoo developers.

From the devmanual: http://devmanual.gentoo.org/keywording/index.html

 ~arch (~x86, ~ppc-macos)
The package version and the ebuild are believed to work and do not have any
known serious bugs, but more testing is required before the package version is
considered suitable for arch.

I don't think that alpha software falls under this umbrella. Alpha software is
not believed to work all the way by upstream (or it wouldn't be alpha).

Will be removing developer releases.

Developer releases are not appreciated by the community and have been removed
from the portage tree. If you want to use them, use an overlay. You will have
to await the 1.3 release.
