Please try emerging the correct version of automake" /usr/bin contains: /usr/bin/aclocal -> ../lib/misc/am-wrapper.sh /usr/bin/aclocal-1.10 I had to do "emerge -va1 =automake-1.9.6-r2" to be able to "emerge --resume". Reproducible: Always
