GDM depends on x11-libs/libXinerama even though I have USE="-xinarama".
I don't wan't xinerama support, why would have to I emerge
x11-libs/libXinerama?

indeed, that's a bug in RDEPEND. It's in all ebuilds actually in portage.

talked with leio and remi. The fix is in CVS for >=gnome-base/gdm-2.18
