During instalation it crashes with:

hecking for NOTIFY... yes

checking for libgcrypt-config... /usr/bin/libgcrypt-config
checking for PANEL_APPLET... configure: error: Package requirements
(libpanelapplet-2.0) were not met:

No package 'libpanelapplet-2.0' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables PANEL_APPLET_CFLAGS
and PANEL_APPLET_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.

I found, that configure should be runned with parameter:
--without-gnome 
when there should be gnome not compiled in.

It still cannot be compiled.
